I am Shannon Leftwich Marion. I am an avid dog lover, as my husband says "almost to a fault". Most any animal that even comes close to our house is fed, bathed, sheltered, spayed/neutered, and loved. I have been an advocate for animal rights, formally and informally, for as long as I can remember.
After obtaining my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business Administration and spending nearly 30 years in the finance and accounting world, I decided that it was time to do what I have I wanted to do instead of what I had to do...thus my dream of Tender Touch Pet Grooming. I cannot express how excited I am that my dream has finally come to fruition.
I am certified by Pet Tech in Pet First Aid and CPR and have also completed my Pet Grooming Certification through Forsyth Technical Community College.
I currently serve on the advisory board of the Mountain Valley Hospice & Pallative Care (MVHPC) Pet Peace of Mind Program. This program is especially dear to my heart. We help hospice patients take care of their pets when they are no longer able to as they have in the past. This could consist of furnishing food and obtaining veterinarian care for them, taking them for a walk, bathing/grooming them, and ultimately placement of the pet in a loving home upon the patient's passing.
My goal for Tender Touch Pet Grooming is to provide the best possible care for your pet in a professional yet caring and safe way. Special care is taken to ensure your pet has all the comforts of home (including hugs, kisses, and belly rubs) while visiting us for a grooming session or while staying with us at doggie daycare. Oh yeah, by the way, we don't charge for the peace of mind you will have while your beloved pet is in my care.
